Optical Art

CMA are working closely with sculptors, designers, architects and studios to produce optical art work.

CMA has a new designated facility for the production of specialised silicone moulds and castings of large optical art mouldings and small optical art work.

Master production for optical art work ranges from sculptured models to CAD/CAM designs linked to forming machines, this enables CMA to utilise their highly specialised technical skills to cast PU resins such as Crystal Clear tm.  With a blending / vacuum vessel of 2000kgs capacity, a pressure vessel of 2,500 litres capacity and our semi- automated casting and finishing machines, CMA can produce a wide variety of finishes on these magnificent optical art mouldings.

From original design through to finished optical art work, CMA are working closely with sculptors, designers, architects and studios to produce natural, high gloss, smoked, tinted and ice effect optical art mouldings.

Recent production castings include a 1,000kgs Jelly Baby; a 400kgs Shark; a 1,000kgs Cube; a 700kgs Orange Lense and a number of giant Crystal Clear pebbles.
